I wanted to celebrate the fact that I’ve already benefited. “Party time! Have a pointy hat and a kazoo, and one lucky guest will walk away with a lovely parting gift. Woohoo!”
I sold 3000—on Kindle alone—doing virtually NO promo. I’ll sell the next 3000 exactly the same way. I just don’t feel any need to attach “go forth and toot my horn for me” conditions to everything.
That being said, anyone who WANTS to toot my horn for me at any time is welcome to do so and much appreciated.
